SPOILER ALERT: Lena Dunham and Adam Driver share a passionate kiss on set of TV show Girls

Lena Dunham's onscreen relationship with Adam Driver has seen its ups and downs.

But
judging by the first scenes filmed for the long-awaited third season of
HBO's hit series Girls, their ricochet romance is once again red-hot.

Lena
and Adam were seen filming what looked to be a date with their
characters Hannah and Adam talking and enjoying each other's company
while strolling hand in hand.

But then Adam gives Hannah a
birthday gift in the form of a necklace and she moves in for a hug and
then one thing leads to another, and pretty soon they're passionately
kissing on the sidewalk, oblivious to passers-by and traffic.

So it seems that Hannah has fallen back into the same old love trap.

Viewers love Lena for her no-holds-back story lines that have broken with traditional women's roles in television.

Earlier in the day, Lena was seen breaking with another Hollywood tradition, showing that actresses do eat.

The creator of the highly
popular series Girls grabbed herself a hearty sized breakfast doggy bag
while on set in New York on Thursday.

Just
two days after being named one of the 100 most influential people in
the world by Time Magazine, the star of the HBO series was back on set
and working hard - even if that meant not getting a chance to sit down
and  eat her breakfast.

For
her day on set, the 26-year-old certainly stood out in a black and gold
squiggly line dress with a Fifties-inspired skirt and a cropped purple
cardigan.

With the full skirt flowing out from under the bustline of the cardigan, Lena's outfit exaggerated her hourglass shape.

The star added black suede boots and wore her cropped hair messily pushed to one side.

Also joining Lena on set but
looking as if she had skipped eating a extra large breakfast a few times
in a row was Allison Williams.

The
24-year-old chose a bit of last minute perpetration over a visit to
craft services, reading what appeared to be her lines with a staff
member.

Clearly half way through hair and make-up, Allison was fresh faced and had to walk along with her hair pinned up in large curls.

Even
without make-up the star managed to shine showing off her slender legs
in a pair of bright red pants with a rolled up cuff that she paired with
red and white stripped espadrilles, a chambray shirt and a grey hooded
sweater.

Despite the show's title, Thursday was not just about the girls.

Male actors Adam Driver and Alex Karpovsky were also preparing for a day of filming on the New York set.

Of
course the boys have had their ranks depleted after the shock
announcement Christopher Abbott was not returning to the third season to
reprise his role as long-suffering Charlie Dattolo.

Christoper
was reportedly 'odds' with creator Lena and his representative
confirmed the move saying his had left to pursue other opportunities.
